About Me
I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor and Supervisor
and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My decision to train as a counsellor came from my life experiences and working with a life coach. I went on to have counselling, which helped me to gain a whole new perspective. I was able to improve my quality of life, through developing a greater understanding of myself and the world around me.

I fully understand life can be difficult and challenging. I know that from my own personal experience.
As a counsellor, I offer professional support to help you through your difficulties, which may be due to current or issues from the past. I am passionate about my counselling role and I believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes in their life. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space, with trust and understanding at the forefront of the counselling.

Whatever difficulties you are struggling with, I can help you develop your own strategies, to improve your decision making, helping you find better ways to navigate life.

You may be feeling unsure whether counselling is right for you.
I offer a free phone or zoom session,
for us to have a chat about what has brought you to counselling. It gives you the opportunity to ask me questions, to help you decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.
Experience
I have worked with a wide range of clients in various settings
and have supported clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, social anxiety, trauma, bereavement, self-esteem, relationships (personal and professional), as well as many other challenges.

In addition to my private practice, I have worked with a leading mental health charity Mind, an NHS medical centre, and a charity supporting those with visual impairment, which has given me a varied perspective on how to help and support others.
How I Work
I offer online, phone or walk and talk counselling sessions to suit your needs. The sessions are confidential and give you the space to talk about whatever you would like to. My counselling style is warm, caring and professional. The sessions focus on your needs and we work at your pace, so you can feel comfortable and 'in control'. There is no pressure and whatever you bring to the sessions will not be judged. I am here to listen and support, to help you understand what is going on for you.
As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, which ensures that I practice professionally and ethically. For more information, please do check out the BACP website: www.bacp.co.uk
